You are invited to attend a reception at John Lautner's Harvey House (1949). Designed for aluminum magnate Leo Harvey, the house is truly innovative and takes advantage of the natural site and scenic views. Over the years, owners' remodels had altered the house to the point where it resembled a modern ruin. However, the renovation by architect Helena Arahuete, a previous senior architect in Lautner's office, restored the house to its original form while addressing the needs and tastes of the current owners. The house in its restored condition represents an important step in Lautner's career as it was the first of his large-scale and budgeted projects. Attendance is limited. Your donation is tax-deductible: The John Lautner Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exampt organization. Your contribution is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Of the $200 donation, $120 is deductible. Of the $150 donation, $70 is deductible. Federal Tax Identification Number: 95-4629545 Photographs by Alan Weintraub/arcaid.co.uk©
